Air rifle range

The Air Rifle Range is 25 meters long and is great fun and suitable for everyone from the age of nine years old. Each firing point features a height-adjustable rotating chair and sandbag rifle rest, which is great for novice shooters.

The range is filled with various spinning and shoot-to-reset targets, making it a perfect setting for introducing juniors to the world of shooting.

Morning and afternoon sessions

Sessions run on select days during the school holidays, with a morning slot from 9am to 12pm and an afternoon session from 1pm to 4pm each lasting three hours in total.

  Arrive at E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground
• 9.20 am / 

• 1.20 pm
  Young Guns are introduced to their instructor and given a safety briefing
• 9.30 am

• / 1.30 pm
  Shooting commences
• 10.30 am

• / 2.30 pm
  Young Guns return to the lodge for a bacon roll and juice
• 10.45 am

• / 2.45 pm
  Shooting re-commences
• 11.45 am

• / 3.45 pm
  Young Guns return to the lodge and have a debrief with their instructor
• 12.00 pm

• / 4.00 pm
  Young Guns depart

Safety is always our top priority

Each group has a maximum of five participants and is supervised at all times by our qualified instructors.

Good to know

We provide everything you need – just dress for the weather and bring your own shotgun if you'd prefer to use it.

Upon arrival at the shooting ground each attendee will be required to fill out a Section 21 form as a legal requirement to declare that you are not prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968. Please arrive at the shooting ground in ample time before your appointment to fill out this form.
