The World English Sporting Championship returns to E.J. Churchill, High Wycombe, from 12th – 19th July 2025, promising yet another spectacular festival of shooting.
This prestigious event, which alternates annually between England’s CPSA and the USA’s National Sporting Clays Association, attracts competitors worldwide and welcomes shooters of all levels.
Alongside the 200-target main championship, competitors can take on the World Sportrap, the 100-target Open Prelim, and the 100-target Registered Super Sporting, plus various exciting pool shoots to enjoy between rounds.

THE EVENTS
World English Sporting – £195 (200 Targets) – Saturday 12th – Saturday 19th July
A two-day, 200-target competition (choose from 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, or 18-19 July).
The Opening Ceremony
The Opening Ceremony takes place on Thursday 17th July, welcoming teams from around the globe.
The 25-target Super Final will be held on Saturday 19th July, where the top six shooters (determined by shoot-offs in case of ties) will compete for the title. Prize giving & closing party to follow.
World Sportrap – £80 (100 Targets) – Sunday 13th – Friday 18th July
A 100-target competition running from 13th – 18th July, with shoot-offs and prize giving on Friday 18th July.
British Open Super Sporting – £80 (100 Targets) – Sunday 13th – Friday 18th July
A 100-target registered shoot running from 13th – 18th July, with shoot-offs and prize giving on Friday 18th July.
Preliminary English Sporting – £75 (100 Targets) – Saturday 12th & Monday 14th – Thursday 17th July
A 100-target Open shoot is available on Saturday 12th and 14th-17th July. Shoot-offs on Thursday 17th July. Despite its name, the Preliminary event is not a qualifier for the World English Sporting Championship.

Visitor’s Shotgun Permit
Overseas competitors must apply for a Visitor’s Shotgun Permit (VSP) to bring their shotgun into the UK. Applications take at least 12 weeks to process, so apply early to avoid delays.

A UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is now required for visitors from certain countries.
