
SHOOTING GROUND MANAGER (HIGH WYCOMBE)
We are seeking a keen and hard working individual to run our flagship shooting ground in the UK based in Buckinghamshire.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate shooting person to manage our World renowned shooting ground and help us develop it to the next stage. EJ Churchill at High Wycombe is regarded as one of the finest shooting grounds in the World and offers you the chance to work for one of the biggest names in the industry.
We are looking for an innovative and energetic candidate with a huge passion for the shooting industry along with outstanding customer service, who is always looking to go above and beyond to exceed clients’ expectations. The potential candidate would lead a dedicated and ambitious team, with support from the board of Directors.

An individual who strives for excellence and wants to take on responsibility, running a shooting ground that has many accolades but still has huge opportunities.
The candidate must be hard working, dynamic and bring energy and enthusiasm to a business that is bursting with potential. Experience in the shooting industry is not essential, but an understanding of clay shooting, be it from a hobby or as a passion is.
The ideal person will be able to help set courses, understand CPSA competitions and events, clay shooting and be able to coach people how to shoot.

Experience in a managerial role is essential, along with commercial and business acumen.

The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, thrive on managing a team with a keen eye for detail!

A full driving licence and shotgun certificate is a must (due to location & travel for work).

An excellent renumeration package is available along with full training.

In terms of the Premises, this includes:
​

Maintenance and improvement (where appropriate) of the grounds, lodge and associated buildings (safari lodge, pavilion, containers etc).

Security of the premises – this includes managing contracts and dealing with issues
-
Trap and target management, improvement and setting courses
-
Vehicle management – owned, leased and sponsored vehicles
-
Management of associated equipment (cranes, chain saws, trailers, forklifts)
-
Waste management
-
Procurement of any necessary equipment
-
Pest control
-
Health & safety associated with the above facilities
In terms of Managing the staff, this includes:

Managing workload and rotas for both teams (to include holiday allocation)

Responsible for health & safety standards for groundsmen
-
Managing instructors (both employed and self employed)
-
Responsible for sub-contractors on site
-
Kitchen Hygiene and associated protocols
-
Competition organisation and management (CPSA, World Championships etc)

Liaising with all departments particularly the Events Team

Managing unlock and lock up teams and schedule.
In terms of Business Development, this includes:

Working with Marketing and Business Development to drive the business forward.

Ensure ongoing client satisfaction and retention – organisations, corporates and individuals.

Provide the best customer service at all times.
